Only in Dubai will you find three world-class skateboarders cutting loose in a water park drained for maintenance.

During this lock down for the park where thousands of lires of water were drained, skaters Alex Sorgente, Milton Martinez and Jan Hoffmann got to slice out 17 beachfront hectares of waterscape at Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. Red Bull describe it best as “quarter pipes on the water pipes” – and these fibreglass waves were the envy of every skater around the world.

Taking into consideration some seriously sketchy terrain with sprinklers, man made transitions, crazy gradients, and the fact that you’re actually in a fucking water park, the butterflies would have been the size of Amazonian moths. Still, the lads put on a show to remember, steering clear from all drains and catching from insane air.
