Last month, Nelly celebrated selling 10 million copies of his 2000 album Country Grammar, which contains house party bangers and ‘Ride Wit Me’ aka the quintessential white person anthem.

While Nelly may have peaked at the turn of the century, it was in 2002 that he released what many consider his best duet in ‘Dilemma’ with Kelly Rowland. It was the perfect crossover anthem, with Nelly’s heartfelt bars sitting in between some passionate crooning from the Destiny’ Child star. The music video for ‘Dilemma was also notable for Nelly wearing a band-aid on his face and Kelly Rowland texting Nelly on the unusual platform of Microsoft Excel. Scandalous:

While listening to this song might bring back those fluttering memories of teenage romance, it’s just gotten a modern makeover with a recent performance in The Hamptons for Karlie Kloss’ birthday. Nelly took the stage at the private event in an angelic all-white outfit, subbing out Kelly Rowland for Taylor Swift in the updated version.

Swift has been laying low since her very public tiff with Kanye West & Kim Kardashian, and here she returns to semi-public eye by tackling the more melodic moments from the song. We’re sure that for many people this replacement will be downright blasphemous, but this isn’t the first time that Nelly & Swift have teamed up in grandiose fashion. The St. Louis spitter also came onstage during her 1989 tour to perform ‘Hot In Herre’ in his hometown. Speaking on Swift, Nelly said:

“She’s just a dope person. She ain’t got no ill wills or nothing like that, and that’s kind of hard when you come from where we come from. You rarely come across those type of people. It’s kind of like, Taylor Swift and my granny. Who doesn’t love both of those people?”

Awwwwww. Grandma! Watch the footage of the very rare ‘Dilemma’ performance here:
