Kendall Jenner has covered Vogue Magazine, being described as ‘the face that launched a billion likes’ – because everything in 2016 is measured in social media currency.

In the spread shot by favoured Kardashian photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Jenner wears everything from the more upmarket Gucci to the hypebeast-worthy HBA. The accompanying feature piece covers her relationship with her sisters, the lonely life on the road and tumultuous relationship with the tabloids. There’s also some banter about brownies in there. How good are brownies?

As expected with anything that the Kardashians touch, the cover hasn’t come without some controversy – especially when it comes to an esteemed fashion publication like Vogue. It’s no surprise that some can’t stomach the idea of a reality star claiming the coveted Vogue cover, but 2016 really is the age of the slashie – reality stars can be high fashion, too! As reported by the NZ Herald, social media has been filled with comments denouncing the choice of cover, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this is Vogue’s most talked-about issues of the year. And that’s really the point, isn’t it?
