If you plan on being in Western Australia come New Year’s, you might want to sit down for this one: A$AP Rocky is coming to Australia to play exclusively at Origin NYE festival.

It has just been announced that the A$AP Mob figurehead himself has been added to an already stacked lineup for the Perth based festival, featuring the likes of British emcee JME, local hero What So Not, Chicago star Chance The Rapper and bizarre rap-rave outfit Die Antwoord. A$AP is set to grace the stage with his flossy brand of Harlem rap on December 31 (as the festival name suggests) at Claremont Showgrounds. This is a definite power move by Origin NYE, which will mark its 10th year of operation in 2016.

Origin NYE will mark the second time Pretty Flacko has toured Australia this year, having last visited our shores in February to promote his commendable At.Long.Last.A$AP album alongside Raury. Come September, his colleague A$AP Ferg will also be in the country performing on the Listen Out tour.

It seems that unless you are in Perth this time around, you might have a Fuckin’ Problem trying to catch his set – this will be his only Australian gig on the visit. With the promise of additional headliner announcement(s) in the coming months, you can count us in for Origin NYE – it’s definitely looking like the best way to welcome in 2016.
