It was a few weeks back that Origin NYE dropped their ultra-impressive line-up for the West Coast festival, featuring the likes of Ryan Hemsworth, Chance The Rapper, What So Not, Lunice and more.

With Beyond The Valley announcing their line-up yesterday and Falls Festival to come after revealing a headliner in Childish Gambino, the implications are clear: There’s going to be a shitload of talent in the country to help us ring in 2017.

Now, Origin NYE have upped the ante with the addition of a heavyweight headliner to join their festival: Die Antwoord. Anybody who’s witnessed the undefinable South African duo onstage can attest that they put on one hell of a show that’s confusing in the best way possible. We’re too keen for them to mess with our minds for the first time since Future Music Festival in 2015, with Origin NYE also stating that this will be their only festival appearance for their Australian visit. Festival organisers are also far from done, stating that they’ve got more headliners up their sleeves to be revealed in the near future.

Die Antwoord recently released a new single called ‘Banana Brain’ from their forthcoming album Mount Ninja & Da Nice Time Kid, which is due to drop on September 16. That means that we’ll be treated to all new material from Ninja, Yolandi and the members of their live show. This is just another big reason to take that holiday in Perth, otherwise, pray that any potential headline club shows from Die Antwoord are coming to a town near you:
