While many American youths are too lazy or apathetic to head to the voting booths this November, the sight of a (kinda) naked Katy Perry might persuade them to have their say this November.

In this new sketch for Funny Or Die, popstar Perry says that “this year you can look like shit when you vote” – encouraging punters to arrive to the voting booths in whatever they slept in. While she initially dons some patriotic pyjamas plastered with American flags, Perry later reveals that she actually sleeps naked – and strips off before running into some trouble with the law.

However, it isn’t all fun and games for Perry when it comes to politics – she’s a longtime supporter of the Democrats, joining Clinton on her campaign trail in Iowa and performing at the Democrat National Convention a few months back. Let’s see if this video is enough to get more people voting in her favour this November, and may God help us all if overlord Trump manages to squirm his way into The White House:
