The musician-turned fashion designer gave a memorable show, mixing atheisure with feminine and classic accents. The collection featured models in lace doorags, corsets, and satin tracksuits, with Rihanna artfully dubbing the collection herself: “If Marie Antoinette was going to the gym and needed something to wear.” With its reliance on pinks, purples and pastels, this is a much more light-hearted offering than her gothic debut collection.
Despite the risky and avant-garde mix in aesthetics critics are impressed with the collection, many taking to Twitter to declare Rihanna ‘saved’ Puma and brought the label to the cool kid’s table once more. The runway show also featured an impressive lineup of models including Victoria’s Secret model Taylor Hill, Imaan Hamman, and Gigi and Bella Hadid’s little brother Anwar Hadid.
Rihanna took to the floor of the Hotel de Salomon De Rothschild for her show wearing a feminine pink floor length ensemble, accessorised with a pearl chocker and Puma emblazoned pink fan. It couldn’t be a Rihanna fashion show without famous attendees, which included RiRi’s model mates Sara Sampaio, Jourdan Dunn and Doutzen Kroes.
