On March 26, Nike will once again be celebrating Air Max day, honouring one of the brand’s most successful lines featuring sneakers with visible air and soles blessed by bubbles. The day is usually marked with events around the world – Sydney was the home of some festivities in 2016 – and while we don’t know if there’ll be any Australian parties this year, the sportswear giant has revealed eight models to be released as part of the celebrations.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Air Max 1 in OG red will be resurrected in two forms, while the silhouette’s highly coveted ‘Atmos’ iteration will also be returning in its elephant print glory after being voted to victory by Air Max heads in 2016.
After being revealed to the world via a Comme des Garçons collaboration, the fresh Vapormax model will be seeing a wider release, with its bursting sole and sleek upper set to make it a favourite.
And coming back to the classics, the Air Max 90 ‘Infrared’ will also be releasing with an updated Flyknit upper.
You can see the rest of the releases below, and if Nike’s history is anything to go by, there’ll be plenty more thrown into the mix, including the Air Max 95 and 20-year-old Air Max 97. In the meantime, check which pair tickles your fancy below and see our photos from last year’s Air Max Day here:
