Before Emily Ratajkowski was a global star, she was almost rejected from her first shoot with Treats! Magazine five years ago.

Speaking to The Sun, Treats! editor Steve Shaw recently revealed that Ratajkowski was almost turned away after she arrived in an outfit that was deemed unflattering. “She came in wearing a black baggy smock dress with horrible four inch black plastic shoes on. It was like a bin liner and hid everything. She was sat waiting to see Tony Duran, the photographer, and he told me to send her home,” he said.

However, all of that changed when she stripped down. “We just were blown away by this beautiful body. I’ve never seen anything like her in my life. She’s like Kate Moss but with a body. We’re thrilled that being in Treats! was the springboard for her success,” Shaw continued.

And it seems like his ‘springboard’ comment isn’t to be taken lightly – the shoot is reportedly what led to her casting in the ‘Blurred Lines’ video, which propelled Ratajkowski to global success.
