Is The Backstreet Boys & Spice Girls Massive Joint Tour Finally Happening?
Dear lord.

The longstanding rumour of a joint Backstreet Boys & Spice Girls tour has returned, and the world is keeping its collective fingers crossed for it to finally happen.

It’s no secret that nostalgia tours have been all the rage in Australia and the world over, and now the two biggest pop juggernauts of the 90s are back in the spotlight. Backstreet Boys & Spice Girls – two immortals in the shimmering world of boys bands and girl groups – could be reuniting for a mammoth tour that’ll feature endless sing-a-longs and neck-snapping choreographed dancing.

In a recent interview with US Weekly, Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter said “we’ve had conversations, I’ve had conversations with Scary Spice and Emma, and we’ve talked about it… We’re always open to doing a tour with them. I think it would be an epic tour.” He’s currently a judge on singing competition show Boy Band alongside Emma Bunton, so links between the two groups are still present in 2017, and hopefully strong enough to bring this tour into fruition.

Back in 2015, another Backstreet Boys member A.J. Maclean also addressed the rumour, saying “The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the past year and a half, and it’s something we’re still talking about.”

If this tour does eventuate, we just have one simple request: Can we put forward Party Posse as the global support act?
