Our favourite skate event of the year is back.

Next Saturday, August 19th the crew at Burleigh Brewing will once again be combining craft beer and skateboarding for their annual keg jump. With last year’s event having seen massive crowds lineup to watch some of Australia’s skaters hurl themselves over kegs, they’ve gone even bigger with the venue this time round, taking over Distillery Road Market from 2pm.

Here, you’ll be able to see the likes of local skating legends Pedro Day (Brisbane), Mike Lawry (Brisbane), Jesse Noonan (Gold Coast) and Jackson Pilz (Sunshine Coast), as well as a slew of other talented street skaters from around the country battle it out for the $5K prize. Last year’s winner, Dani Campbell, broke the record with a whopping 14-keg jumps to take out the 2022 title, beating the previous record by three kegs.

There’s also be local food truck vendors That Gelato Co., Vagabond Foods and The Fried Guys serving up an abundance of delicious eats, along with on-site food outlets Sugar Creek Smokehouse and Posadas Cantina. 

Chutney and Heavy Wax will be soundtracking the afterparty, with Burleigh Brewing’s finest beers being consumed by the truckload. We’ll see you there! More info below, head here for tickets:
