With Sydney buzzing in the lead-up to Mardi Gras and the parade just over a week away, BWS aka BWYASSS hosted a special Listening Party in Pyrmont last night, spotlighting a different way to celebrate Pride.

The BWYASSS Listening Party celebrated Pride through music, memory and shared perspective – proving there’s no single way to mark the moment. While some celebrate on the parade route, this intimate gathering created space to slow down, listen and connect.

Guests were welcomed into a vibrant setting, where sociability met storytelling. The night featured a live performance and candid Q&A with Sydney/Eora-based artist Huck Hastings, hosted by Mitch Churi, with DJ selector milkpaste setting the tone. Together, they guided the room through tracks layered with identity, nostalgia and personal reflection.

With Absolut cocktails, Squealing Pig wines and Brookvale Union ginger beers flowing the celebration continued well beyond the stage. Even better, part of the proceeds from every purchase of selected Pride Partner products in-store or online supports Pride Foundation Australia and the vital work they do for LGBTQIA+ communities nationwide*.
