Party & Bullshit
July 19, 2026

If ever there was a time we needed to be reminded to get lost, this is it.

You know what we mean – screens everywhere you look, AI tricks, and being non-stop available… If only there was some way to turn it off, connect with nature and take a deep bloody breath in. Oh wait, there is. It’s exactly what Dometic are inspiring us to do with their Get In. Get Out. Get Lost. campaign, one that’s centred around the idea that you’ll feel so much better getting outside and enjoying the world than you will watching it through your phone.

Yesterday they took over Maritime Green Northshore in Brisbane to prove it to us.

Turning the riverside into a mini base camp, the afternoon was packed with Gage Roads beers, a fire feast, an outdoor cinema, custom drinkware and plenty of inspiration to start plotting your next escape. The real drawcard, though, was getting up close with three fully kitted-out adventure rigs, each loaded with Dometic’s ecosystem of gear, from inflatable tents, coolers and portable fridges, to power, camp kitchens and everything else you’d need for a weekend off the grid.

The activation wasn’t just about showing off the gear either. It’s all part of Dometic’s latest national campaign encouraging Australians to swap city life for a couple of days outdoors, making camping feel a whole lot less intimidating by taking care of the hard part. The old “my gear isn’t up to scratch” excuse is no longer an option!

Better yet, you can actually win the exact experience. From now until October 8th, anyone who purchases a Dometic product through Dometic or BCF goes into the draw to win one of six fully funded 48-hour adventures for two. Winners will score the keys to one of these fully equipped vehicles, a campsite at Amity Point on North Stradbroke Island, chef-prepared meals by Dometic ambassador Nick Pearce, and an itinerary that’s already been sorted.

In other words, all you’ve got to do is pack a bag, turn your phone on Do Not Disturb, and get lost. Check out the highlights from the event in the gallery above and head here to shop Dometic now!
