We were stoked to get in today and catch a glimpse of what will surely be the most talked-about activation this week, lululemon’s ‘breathing room’. Taking over Cathy Freeman Park at Sydney Olympic Park, the whole purpose of the experience is to help hybrid athletes check in, focus and unlock their best race – an invaluable leg up during one of the biggest weekends on the HYROX calendar.
On site, we caught a Q&A with Australian HYROX athlete and lululemon ambassador Bailey O’Brien, who opened up about the role breathwork now plays in his training, racing and recovery. There was also a DJ set, interactive product displays, hydration stations, and an incredible “morning fuel” spread from immersive food studio Long Prawn (check some of the mouth-watering pics above).
The best part? The activation is completely free and runs through to July 5th. Across the week you’ll find REVL Team Sweat sessions, Bailey O’Brien’s ‘Your Best Race Yet’ talk, guided breathwork sessions with former Australian representative runner Ryan Mannix, a community shakeout run, athlete panels and a race recap with Bailey O’Brien and Ben Seymour after the dust settles – peep the full schedule here, and goodluck to those who are racing!!!
