Party & Bullshit

Last night we climbed up the creaky stairs of China Heights Gallery in Surry Hills for a sneak preview of Misfit Apparel’s grungy and gritty debut collection.

Mistfit Apparel are an offshoot of Sydney’s M/SF/T MAD MINDS movement, presenting their first garments to the world in dark and distressed fashion with the ‘Season 1’ exhibition. Bleeding with DIY appeal, Misfit Apparel employ underground aesthetic and chaotic designs that are juxtaposed against cheeky and playful slogans. The collection also features more basic garments including earthy bomber jackets and swim shorts in preparation for summer. A healthy crowd braved the tumultuous weather to welcome Misfit Apparel with open arms, with the afterparty kicking on at the nearby Harpoon Harry.

The ‘Season 1’ exhibition will stand at China Heights from Friday August 5 to Saturday August 6, so go and check it out before it hits the shelves at select retailers from August 15. Boom:
