Party & Bullshit

Next Door took over the Prince in Merewether for their third birthday on Saturday.

Who says youth don’t like to party? Maybe they just need more events like Next Door’s venue-wide takeover in Newy that saw hundreds of punters flock to the Prince to catch the holy trinity of good times: skating, live music and DJs. Wash it all down with a coupla Balters, and you’ve got yourself a pretty rad time.

Around 400 people turned out to celebrate three years of the skate-focussed label, with live sets from The Good Kids, Sheena Dali and Soy, who headlined the band portion of the evening, before Undermang and Ross Mvnro took over the decks. Meanwhile, the skate crew got stuck into a Tricks for Cash session in the laneway, throwing down over kegs and on an ND wrapped quarter.

The party also coincided with the release of a new six-piece collection from Next Door, capping off three years of increasingly bigger parties and a growing community around the label.
