Hot off touring around the country for Groovin The Moo and the release of their latest music video for ‘Lapwing’, Ocean Alley are keeping themselves busy with, well, more gigs and live shows. But instead of the usual concert halls and festival stages that they’ve become mainstays on, the beaches-residing six-piece took to none other than the Ivy in Sydney CBD yesterday for a free show.
Presented by Coopers Brewery and kicking off at 7pm, the night saw the psych-rock outfit give stirring renditions of hits old and new for the hometown crowd, rattling off singles like ‘Confidence’, ‘Knees’ as well as more recent singles like ‘Home’ and ‘Touch Back Down’. Performing to the packed out club with plenty of Coopers both on stage and in the crowd, the boys gave another reminder of why they’re one of the go-to bands in the country, all the while bringing live music back to the Ivy.
