While Sydney hasn’t seen an infamous One Day Sundays party in awhile, it was resurrected in fine form last weekend, expanding to a two stage affair in Moore Park. All the favourites were in the house: In-house selectors Joyride, Raph Lauren and Nick Lupi, as well as frequent guests Nes, Mowgli May and Klasik, plus a stack of live acts to boot.
Caribbean and dancehall flavours came courtesy of SK Simeon and Shantan Wantan Ichiban, while Turquoise Prince, Jackie Onassis and B Wise also delivered on the microphone. Melbourne guest Remi was on headline duties, before Newcastle heavyweight JayTeeHazard stepped behind the decks to close off a long day of tunes.
Let’s hope for another One Day party sooner rather than later:
