For five years now, the Bush Doof has been one of our favourite snowy events, celebrating everything we love about the snow: boarding, partying and catching up with legends from all over the world. And this weekend’s doof might have been the best one yet!
Taking over Dream Run, the invitational rail jam brought some of the world’s finest snowboarders into a course tucked away in the bush, with Mia Brookes, Miles Falcon, Dillon Henrickson, Lolo Derminio and Judd Henkes among those throwing down under bluebird skies.
Even within that crew, 12-year-old Sunny Michelin held his own with the big dogs, while Harry Bryant made a guest appearance to get the snow crew properly frothing – even the Monster hype girls were bugging HIM for a photos (hehe).
When it was all said and done, Mia Brookes and Miles Falcon took out the women’s and men’s titles, completing a clean sweep for the CAPiTA team.
Of course, it’s not really a trip to Thredbo unless you’re leaving with a couple of bruises and a bit of a hangover…
Once the riding wrapped up, Little Fritter and Shimmy took over the après party, pulling what we’re told was the biggest crowd Thredbo après has ever seen, with plenty of Monster cocktails consumed along the way.
