It seems that embracing a wide array of sounds and genres has been the key to Sydney-based artist Montaigne’s success. Her sophomore record Complex which melds elements of pop, EDM, funk and experimental electronica is (clearly) hard to put into a box, but is glued together by her powerful and melodically explorative vocals. It’s an avant-garde approach that has led fans in the thousands to her music expecting the unexpected, with the songstress continually delivering.
