We spent a day in LA with the humble gold medalist.

Brazilian-born street skateboarder Kelvin Hoefler’s achievements in the sport are nearly too countless to list. Chatting with the two-time X Games gold medalist, who is a regular on the SLS podium, it becomes clear that despite his success, spending time skating with his friends and sharing his good fortunes is the most important thing to him.

Whether he’s using his own money to build a skatepark in his hometown of Guarujá, or speaking passionately about the opportunities he’s been afforded, it seems he is a living example of nice guys finishing first.
