A staple in all of our lives…

In news that is set to make people all over the country rife with sadness and mourning, legendary weatherman Tim Bailey’s 30 year career at Channel 10 is sadly coming to an end. The move comes after the network announced insane budget cuts due to the decline in advertising revenue, leading to Bailey among numerous others losing their place with the TV network.

Tim joined Channel 10 in 1980 after becoming a reporter on Good Morning Australia, a gig he scored after grinding away at Sydney’s 2DAY FM radio station. He then went on to host several sports programs, before presenting the weather in 1996 and remaining in the role ever since. Recently, Bailey had been presenting the weather on-location around various NSW towns, along with being a cover reporter for the Ten Network.

The changes will come into effect from September 14. Peep the full list of reporters leaving the Network below and take a little trip down memory lane for Australia’s favourite weatherman.
