Dr. Strange has entered the chat…
With just a little over a month ago until the return of everyone’s favourite mindfuck Rick and Morty, the head honchos at Adult Swim have dropped a short teaser for the pair’s upcoming adventures.
Wasting no time in getting the hype going, the thirty second clip sees Morty escaping the universe via a portal gun once he realises that his partner in crime, Rick, is no longer the smartest geezer around. Consequently, we’re treated to plenty of shots of interstellar travel, aliens and basically every trope in the sci-fi genre.
To make things even more dire, the narration doesn’t help to bolster optimism, with a matter-of-fact voiceover saying “The universe as we know it, has ended”. Just before we can glean any additional info, however, the teaser falls back on the show’s meta roots, with Morty screaming “Stop explaining!” as a red ‘spoiler’ sign hangs overhead.
