Streaming for Volume Two begins on July 1st…

Although some of our biggest and most longstanding questions were answered at the conclusion of Stranger Things season four (Part One), our curiosity was definitely left to run rampant as we were left with numerous cliffhangers and even more questions. And although we got a sneak peak of what was to come in the form of an end-credits scene, it’s safe to say longtime adherents of the show were desperate for more. Luckily, we’ve gotten it this morning in the form of a trailer for volume two of season four.

Set to Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’, the one minute teaser revisits all of the key players of the show as they’re shown to be left reeling following the events of of the last episode. There definitely seems to be an overall tone of defeat permeating the two minute teaser, however, with Will narrating at one point that “He’s not going to stop until he’s taken everyone” and Nancy admitting that “It might not work out for us this time.” It seems the FX crew are pulling out all the stops as well, with the show’s various monsters and action sequences even cleaner and more pristine than that of previous episodes.

As for Eleven, she’s not in the trailer all that much, but considering the last shot of the teaser shows her to be making her way to the notorious Vecna house in Upside Down, we’re guessing she’s going to be dealing with some pretty heavy shit in this upcoming batch of episodes (when will she catch a break?).

Enhancing the hype, Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp, who plays Will, yesterday let slip that the forthcoming episodes will feature multiple character deaths. Although predictions of just which of the Hawkins gang won’t make it beyond the Upside Down are up in the air, the trailer goes some way in quelling fanfare before Stranger Things 4‘s last volume airs on July 1st.
