After countless delays and pushbacks, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet has now secured a firm release date, and it’s coming sooner than you think. The announcement comes after the film was removed from the Warner Bros calendar just the other week and was “postponed indefinitely”.
Soon after the removal, Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich released a statement saying “We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature. We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that.”
Now, after three separate premiere dates, the film has finally been confirmed to be released in over 50 countries on August 26, with the thriller set to be released in the U.S. a week later, opening in select cities on September 2.
We’re definitely keen af for this, and will probably be the first proper movie-going experience for many punters in 2020. Check the latest trailer for the time-bending thriller below.
