Despite garnering widespread acclaim for their chemistry in the first two Deadpool films, it seems that TJ Miller and Ryan Reynolds won’t be reuniting for the upcoming instalment..

And TJ Miller has put the blame squarely on Reynolds’ shoulders for it. Explaining their beef in a recent interview, Miller made clear his gripes with the Green Lantern actor, citing arrogance and unprofessional behaviour on the part of his former co-star, along with one experience where Reynolds allegedly abused him on set.

Spanning a total of seven minutes, the interview sees Miller dish on a range of other reasons for his departure from the superhero franchise, calling out the leading man for changing following the success of the initial Deadpool film in 2016 and his jealousy of the praise Miller received for his role as loveable bar owner, Weasel.

He also touched on on his involvement (or lack thereof) in the upcoming Deadpool film, stating that he “wouldn’t have done it if they had asked or offered twice the money.” It no doubt comes as a surprise to any longtime fan of the franchise, especially considering the comedic rapport the two shared on screen.

Deadpool 3 is slated to be released in 2024 and is set to star Ryan Reynolds in the titular role, along with Hugh Jackman who will reprise his signature role of Wolverine. Here’s hoping Miller and Reynolds find a way to make peace before then, and that we get to see some signature Deadpool and Weasel roasting one more time. For now, revisit some of their funniest scenes together below.
