Imagine how much toilet paper he could’ve gotten instead…

It’s safe to say that Nintendo has had a place in all our childhoods, giving us long lasting memories of playing hits like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros that’ll last us until the end of time. Pets.com founder Greg McLemore is fully aware of this, and has put his month where his mouth his when it comes to being Nintendo’s biggest fan, buying the prototype ‘Nintendo Playstation’ for a whopping $300,000.

The 51 year old Pets.com founder has spent 20 years acquiring rare video games and arcade machines. He made his first purchase after selling 50 percent of Pets.com to Amazon and relinquishing his role as CEO.

So naturally, McLemore isn’t phased by his large purchase, calling it “inexpensive’ compared to recent auctions like a copy of Super Mario Bros; which sold for a crazy $100,000.

McLemore plans to loan the Nintendo Playstation to the University of Southern California’s Pacific Asia Museum, for an exhibit on Asia’s influence on the video games industry. No doubt he’s gonna put that Playstation to good use with hits like Zelda after it’s finished its exhibit run. If you need a second or third player we’re definitely available mate…
