Will be interesting to hear his side…

Fyre Fest has definitely been the subject of various docos and features over the past two years, the catastrophic festival being one of the biggest scandals of 2019. The event left thousands of attendees stranded and as employees out of pocket, and was just a total and utter failure. Festival organiser Billy McFarland went down hard for the ordeal, being sentenced to 26 months in federal prison, while his business partner Ja Rule seemed to get off easy. But now, much to Ja Rule’s probable dismay, McFarland is gearing up to tell his side of the Fyre Fest story in new multi-part podcast Dumpster Fyre.

The series is set to see McFarland recount the events of Fyre Fest from his unique perspective, all told from numerous phone interviews between McFarland and podcaster Jordan Harbinger, of The Jordan Harbinger Show. It seems like we’re gonna see a new side to McFarland, who reportedly spent “a three-month stint in solitary confinement”, which brought about “forced reflection on mistakes and the people hurt.”

“I’m aware of the pain and suffering that I caused,” he added. “What I did was completely wrong and stupid. When I think about the mistakes that were made and what happened, there’s no way that I can describe it but just, ‘What the f*ck was I thinking?”

I think that’s the question we’re all wanting to know. Check out the trailer for the new series below.
