Six years after the finale of “Breaking Bad,” Bryan Cranston (Walter White) and Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) are back in action, but this time they’re cooking up something that’s probably nearly as bad for you as meth…
In a hilarious PopCorners commercial written and directed by Vince Gilligan, the dynamic duo is back in their RV, whipping up a batch of air-popped snacks that are sure to take you back to the days of “Half Measures.”
In the ad, Jesse can’t stop raving about the PopCorners chips, but Walter reminds him, “No, we don’t eat our own supply.” But, with Jesse’s words, “Everyone’s going to want a taste,” they pay a visit to their old pal, Tuco (played by Raymond Cruz). After trying the samples, Tuco gives them a nod of approval and threatens to make them offer seven flavors instead of six. The spot concludes with Tuco gleefully declaring, “We’re going to have some fun with these snacks.”
This isn’t the first time Cranston and Paul have reprised their “Breaking Bad” roles. In 2019, they had a hilarious flashback sequence in “El Camino,” and in 2022, they appeared in the final season of “Better Call Saul.” And, when asked about the possibility of more adventures for Walt and Jesse, Cranston simply said, “We’ll just leave it to the fates.”
