When Kim Kardashian shared a topless selfie earlier this year, she earned a polarising reaction from the online sphere. Like any action that stems from the Kardashian Klan, it set the blogosphere ablaze, and the picture was even replicated in a Melbourne mural which subsequently went viral.
With all the online discussion surrounding Kardashian, one of the most vocal stars to lend her support was Emily Ratajkowski. Now, the two have teamed up for a similar topless selfie together, with Ratajkowski posting on Twitter:
However sexual our bodies may be, we need to [have] the freedom as women to choose [when] & how we express our sexuality… We are more than just our bodies, but that doesn’t mean we have to be shamed for them or our sexuality. #liberated Even if being sexualized by society’s gaze is demeaning, there must be a space where women can still be sexual when they choose to be.
