If your eyes are glued to LWA (as they should be), then you’ll be very familiar with one of our all-time favourite girls, Mimi Elashiry.

We’ve had the pleasure of watching the Sydney talent’s career skyrocket over the past few years – and now you’ll find her everywhere from MTV to General Pants Co. At last weekend’s Laneway Festival, we decided to tag along with Mimi & her boyfriend Darcy – another Instagram sensation with hair that holds Samson-esque powers.

Here’s how our day went, courtesy of our pals at Bulmers:

JACKLWA-1

We start our day with Mimi’s impeccable style – she’s become somewhat of a #farshun icon and it’s pretty easy to see why. Neutral colours, tasteful accessories, classic looks. Have you ever seen a wide-brimmed hat look as good as this? Not since Chuck Norris.

JACKLWA-2

Rallying the troops for the day’s activities! The cuffed pants game here is very strong. The baby pink Beats speaker is also pretty dope, but it should only be used to play Nicki Minaj songs.

JACKLWA-3

Friends that ride together, festival together. A Mimi Elashiry x Llydia Kirwood collabo.

JACKLWA-4

Connan Mockasin started us off early in his own weird and wonderful way. A shirtless bassist, a guitarist on the shoulders and patriotic short shorts – Laneway is looking good.

JACKLWA-5

Flowers are the way to every girl’s heart. #FREEVALENTINESDAYADVICE

JACKLWA-6

Mandatory festival banner shot.

JACKLWA-8

We start to work up a little thirst, so we head over to the Bulmers bar for a cheeky cider or three. With its rustic charm and bright yellow floor, it’s a welcome break from the musical madness that surrounds us for the next eight hours.

JACKLWA-9

Time to head back down to the Park Stage to watch Mac DeMarco and Mac DeMarco’s dancing mum. What a bunch of legends.

JACKLWA-11

After hours of straight-to-voicemail calls and delayed messages, we find our sling-bearing Jono, who’s decided to brave the crowds today with his functional fashion accessory. Darcy is so excited that he’s throwing up gang signs for no reason whatsoever.

JACKLWA-10

But first, it’s time for a quick impromptu photo shoot. Mimi has already shown us that she’s a bidding photograher, and today is no different. 10/10 photographer stance/flat foot Asian squat for those premium angles.

JACKLWA-12

She’s got the eyes that capture a 618,000 audience on Instagram.

JACKLWA-14

She’s also got the best seat in the house for Jungle.

JACKLWA-15

Mind melted. Short snooze on the grass, because we can.

JACKLWA-16

Elijah is handy for many things. He will DJ at your party, or throw the whole damn party for you. He also has impeccable hair and can also be used as a makeshift seat.

JACKLWA-17

Finally, after listening to ‘The heat’ by Jungle, we are graced with an amazing live performance including two Jackson Five style backup singers/dancers. Crucial.

JACKLWA-18

Picture perfect afternoon. Time for another cider.

JACKLWA-19

Despite having some big shoes to fill after the cancellation of Lykke Li, Tkay Maidza gives us one of the most energetic sets of the day over at the Red Bull x Future Classic stage. Big things ahead for Tkay in 2015, we think.

JACKLWA-21

IT’S CALLED FASHION, PERHAPS YOU HAVE HEARD OF IT.

JACKLWA-20

Rustie is bringing out all the bangers, including ‘Attak’ with our favoiurite Danny Brown. We go apeshit and annoy everyone in the immediate vicinity. #HANDGESTURESONFLEEK

JACKLWA-24

Bulmers’ light installation – created by the Laneway punters themselves – has filled up by night time.

JACKLWA-22

They’re clashing with some big-name acts, but there’s still a full house for Flight Facilities. It’s testament to the flourishing success of Down To Earth, and might have something to do with the fact that Hugo & Jimmy are genuinely cool people.

JACKLWA-23

It’s a Sunday night and almost bedtime, but Flying Lotus is still sending out minds into overdrive. We’re watching his Layer 3 show and feel like we’re about to explode. Goodnight.
