The series has been dubbed as the “the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood”…

In what’s sure to fill a Euphoria-shaped hole in your heart, the creators behind the critically acclaimed TV show have teamed up with HBO for another series about sex, drugs, partying and literally every depravity under the sun, releasing the new trailer for The Idol.

Starring Lily-Rose Depp opposite The Weeknd, the six-episode  series is set to follow Depp’s female pop singer who falls head over heels for Weeknd’s L.A. club owner, who doubles as a cult leader. As the premise suggests, it’s a rather fiery recipe, a sentiment mirrored in the minute-and-a-half teaser which features the two stars’ twisted relationship and drug-fuelled romance.

It seems, like previous HBO series’ and Euphoria itself, the show won’t be shying away from any hot button topics either, with the majority of the steamy trailer showing the pair immersing themselves in all matters of debauchery, which is well shown at 38 seconds in as an unnamed character chants “More, more, more, orgy!” in amongst a montage of drug and sex scenes. No word yet however on when the series will land on HBO. For now, check out the trailer for The Idol below.
