Everybody’s favourite football head is coming back in blazing form: As a full-length film!

Hey Arnold! was just one of Nickelodeon’s staple animations that raised kids throughout the nineties and noughties – and now it’s returning to television screens in 2017. Running from 1994 to 2006, Hey Arnold! was one of the best from Nickelodeon’s Golden Era of cartoons – and now it’s been announced that the upcoming film will be titled Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie. Nickelodeon gave away this little snippet of synopsis of the two-hour movie:

The Jungle Movie will feature a storyline that picks up from where the original series ended in 2004 and will resolve unanswered questions and plotlines – including Arnold finally getting answers about the whereabouts of his missing parents.

Original Hey Arnold! mastermind Craig Bartlett will be stepping in as director and executive producer. Nickelodeon have also announced details as to who will be voicing the telepic, and many of the OG cast will thankfully be returning to their roles. 19 original voicing actors including Dan Castellaneta as Grandpa and Francesca Marie Smith as Helga will be appearing in the film, but it also sounds like some of the characters have grown out of the roles. Mason Vale Cotton will be replacing Lane Toran as the voice of the protagonist, and hopefully this still evokes the same memories of Arnold and the crew just like we remember them!

How was Arnold so fashion forward with his extended plaid shirt? How jealous were you of Gerald’s hairdo? Prepare to relive all those memories once more, next year:
