100 million reasons…

Having recently seen 70 episodes of his show removed from Spotify, numerous artists boycotting the streaming service due to what the World Health Organisation has described as misinformation, plus a number of musicians pulling their tunes due to his use of the N-word, it looks like the Rogan-Spotify saga isn’t going anywhere.

The boycott is led by rock legend Neil Young who stated: “I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines, potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them,” he said, specifically citing Rogan’s podcast.

Now it seems he’s been thrown a lifeline via YouTube-style company Rumble, which is popular with US conservatives, who have publicly offered Rogan a $100 million USD deal to bring his podcast over to their service with “no censorship.” In the letter from Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski he claims that this is their chance to “save the world” (whatever the fuck that means).

Rogan’s public apology for use of the N-word and racist comments, which was shared on Facebook a couple of days ago, has garnered 2.7 million views, and it seems his fans are largely sticking by him. So much so that some of the most-like comments on the video are ones condemning him for apologising.

Stay tuned for more as this rolling shitstorm of a story continues to unfold in front of us…
