Passangers on a recent Carrier Aeromexico flight were given a shock when an actual snake dropped down from the luggage compartment. Flight 231, traveling from Terreon to Mexico City, became a lost scene from Snakes On A Plane with the reptile dangling from the ceiling, as shown in this fan-shot footage:

The plane had to make an emergency landing so that the reptile could be “secured” i.e. pilot Indalecio Medina and a passenger grabbed the snake with a blanket and magazines before further help arrived.
