Adding to the wish list…

Continuing its never ending strive for innovation and advancement, Sony has released its latest WH-1000XM4 Headphones, along with a new range of features designed to improve the listening experience.

Along with retaining its sound quality, the headphones use a built-in analog amplifier to provide efficient playback on portable devices, in order to ensure distortion remains low. The headphones also utilise 1.57-inch drivers along with Sony’s Liquid Crystal Polymer diaphragms for songs with heavier beats, capable of reproducing frequencies of up to 40 kHz. It also has a battery life of 30 hours and can provide five hours of usage after just ten minutes of charging.

Besides the updates in sound and performance, the headphones now feature the new Speak-to-Chat feature which will shut off your audio every time you begin talking. It also features in-built proximity and acceleration sensors, which can sense whether you’re wearing the headphones or not and in turn pause audio if not being worn. But perhaps my favourite feature, the Adaptive Sound Control senses where you are and what you’re doing, and can tailor the listening experience according to the information provided. It’ll even recognise places you frequently visit and tailor listening settings accordingly to enhance listening quality. The headphones also feature Android Fast Pair and Precise Voice Pickup, as well as upgraded Mics.

The WH-1000XM4 noise-cancelling headphones are now available for $350 USD ($489 AUD). You can find out more at the Sony website here and check out the trailer for the headphones below.
