Since Stranger Things season three debuted over a year ago, we’ve been absolutely fiending for a taste of what’s next, a little hint of a scoop that could tie us over until the new season premieres. Add to that the numerous rumours that the beloved series is ending after the fourth season, and it’s safe to say we’re in total panic mode when it comes to the show. Now, creators Matt and Ross Duffer have spoken out on the future of the show, and the news is delicious to say the least.
“Season four won’t be the end. We know what the end is, and we know when it is.” Thank god, and it appears that with all the extra time off the guys currently have due to the stoppage in production, the future of the show is looking brighter than ever, with the brothers stating that the break has “given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story”.
Regarding the state of season four, the season was reportedly “a couple of weeks” into production when the world came to a halt, which seems to have given the Duffers extra time to plan and brainstorm, which we’re not at all mad at. Here’s hoping we get some more Stranger Things content real soon, because I’m not sure how much longer we can go without it…
