We could keep going forever…

We wouldn’t be exaggerating when we’d say that the Avengers franchise is host to one of the greatest and most impactful cinematic universes in the history of cinema. Covering everything from intense action, hilarious comedy and heartbreaking drama, the universe is an absolute masterclass in the superhero genre. It’s made from some bloody amazing moments of the years, moments immortalised in pop culture for their sheer level of badassery. So we thought, why not go through those flicks and pick some of our favourites? Of course there’s no easy way to make a list like this, and almost everyone is gonna disagree, but this is our own small collection of favourite scenes from over the years (warning, a majority of entries are going to be Endgame right off the bat, since that whole movie was on a totally different level of badass to its predecessors).

Check it out below (Spoilers lie ahead).

Avengers: Endgame – Avengers Assemble

The moment that made us all silently fist pump and scream in movie theatres across the globe. The reunion of all of our favourite heroes against that shit-head Thanos was bloody glorious, and Cap’s ever so soft “Assemble” is just the cherry on the top. Don’t be surprised if you’re in the mood to rewatch the whole flick after watching this clip, we know we were.

Black Panther – I’m Not Dead

This scene hits a hell of a lot more now that Chadwick Boseman is gone. His performance as Black Panther was perfection, nothing less. And this scene was one that definitely proved the power of his spirit, as well as inspiring countless fans across the world that you can rise above any obstacle, regardless of what life throws at you.

Avengers: Endgame – I Am Iron Man

Ending his time as Iron Man with the same words he uttered at the end of the very first movie, Tony Stark’s last words are bloody poetic, giving his life to save the world. It shows that Tony was truly became Iron Man, and his billionaire persona was just an act (much like Bruce Wayne with Batman, different cinematic universe but I couldn’t not). A seriously moving exit, Iron Man truly deserved nothing less.

Captain America: Civil War – Team Iron Man vs Team Cap

Watching our heroes team up is amazing enough, but watching them team up against each other is just a whole other level. That scene of them running at each other absolutely electrified audiences from the moment it was shown in the trailer for Civil War, but still, watching it for the first time you literally couldn’t believe what you were seeing.

Black Panther – Killmonger’s Death

Killmonger’s last words were totally goosebump inducing, preferring death over arrest as he insists he’s buried “in the ocean, like my ancestors that jumped from the ships. Because they knew that death, was better than bondage.” Like damn! it went perfectly with the badassery of his character in general, and just twisted the knife and made you feel for him so much more (he did a bunch of shitty things throughout the movie, but he definitely made you feel for him throughout). Ryan Coogler is a genius, and a clear master of emotion, just going off this line alone.

Avengers Endgame: Cap lifts Thor’s Hammer

We’ve definitely been waiting for this since Age of Ultron, and boy, the geniuses at Marvel picked the perfect time for it to happen. Captain America lifting Mjolinir was bloody beautiful, helping him to save Thor while laying a proper smackdown on Thanos. A scene we wish we could wipe from our memories so we could witness it again. What a moment.

Spiderman: Homecoming – The Dad Talk

One of the most anxiety-inducing dad talks every seen on the big screen. Usually these are harmless, comedic affairs, most of the time ending with the dad making some cringe joke and telling the young buck to have his daughter home by a certain time. But add a gun and Michael Keatons menace, and you get a properly terrifying exchange. But bloody hell, what amazing writing, even when the traffic light goes green as Keaton’s Vulture realises that Peter is indeed Spiderman, his nemesis. Top quality scene.

Avengers: Infinity War – Thanos Snaps His Fingers

Hate him all you want, you can’t deny that Thanos snapping his fingers was pretty badass. He did exactly what he said he was gonna do, wiping out half of all living things. Although he’s pure evil and you’d honestly wish him the worst fate possible, this scene still made you stop and gasp in awe as Thanos achieved his plan, proving he was indeed inevitable (at least until Endgame).

Thor Ragnarok – Thor Goes Mental

This was such a full circle moment for old mate Thor. After essentially having his ass kicked for the entire run-time of Ragnarok, it was awesome to see him come to the realisation that his power came from within, and that he didn’t need some hammer to take back Asgard.

Iron Man – Tony Builds Mark 1

The beginning of an era, the first Iron Man had all the cards stacked against it, but it definitely came through. And this scene in particular was magnificent, Tony building what would become the Mark 1 in his last ditch attempt for freedom. You can almost taste his raw hunger to break free, to stay alive. A scene thats aged like the finest of wines, it’s so awesome to look back on all of these years later.
