The thirst is real.

Back in 2014, the Stockton Police Department shared a mugshot of criminal Jeremy Meeks on their Facebook page, who was later convicted on firearms charges and jailed for two years.

However, the cops got a lot more than they bargained for when Meeks became a viral meme for his striking appearance, earning the attention of thirsty admirers worldwide. The photo amassed over 100,000 likes on social media and quickly spread like wildfire over the internet, because who gives a flying fuck if you own lethal weapons when you also have piercing blue eyes that can look deep into the souls of anyone within a 17 metre radius?

It wasn’t long before Meeks became known as the ‘Hot Mugshot Guy’, and those outside prison walls helped him capitalise on the online momentum. His Instagram page now has 250,000 followers – considerable #influence given the fact that he’s only been freed for three months. While he was still incarcerated, his manager Jim Jordan signed him to White Cross Management – and now Meeks has shared his first modelling headshot while still on house arrest.

Wearing a very #topical Golden State Warriors snapback, fans have once again been treated to Meeks’ rugged appeal, throat tatts and bad boy aesthetic. He’s also since posted this photo counting down the days until his house arrest ends, so we wouldn’t be surprised if we see him on runways and catalogues soon. In the meantime, get used to this face:
