Following a stacked July lineup that saw the release of new Stranger Things, The Gray Man and more, Netflix’s August lineup has a very distinct pattern to it…
And it revolves around a certain leading who’s currently enjoying rave success for his reprisal of a certain Top Gun pilot. Tom Cruise, veteran action star, is now extending his domination to the streaming realm, with his two most iconic films (Top Gun and Mission Possible) both heading to Netflix land this August.

Joining them is a swarm of Netflix originals spanning film and series’, with highlights including The Sandman, the Snoop Dogg and Jamie Foxx comedy Day Shift, and Wedding Season. Rounding out the new batch is the sci-fi classic Back to the Future, dance-frenzy Footloose and Superwog (definitely didn’t see that last one coming).
