We mean intense…

With the likes of Nightcrawler, Zodiac and Prisoners to his name, it’s safe to say that Jake Gyllenhall is not stranger to playing a creepily obsessed character. And now with the tv version of Scott Turow’s 1987 novel of the same name – which was adapted into a film starring Harrison Ford in 1993 – we have Gyllenhall once again on screen in thriller mode for Presumed Innocent.

Playing a Chicago prosecutor name Rusty Sabich, we see Gyllenhall accused of murdering a co-worker whom he was having an affair with. “I was basically stalking her,” he admits, as it’s revealed he texted the victim 30 times on the evening of her death.

The supporting cast is stacked too with Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Peter Sarsgaard and Kingston Rumi Southwick. J.J. Abrams is the EP too.
