What more could you ask for?

Do you ever just want to watch a ridiculous, over the top action movie? Like sure, it needs to have a decent plot and be at least a little bit compelling, but we’re talking like Starship Troopers level of ridiculousness. Sometimes you just need a healthy dose of action to put the spirit at ease, and in 2020 that’s no easy job. But never fear, the trailer for Monster Hunter is here, and it’s properly cooked.

Adapted from Capcom’s long-running franchise, the trailer for the film follows the head of a military unit (played by Milla Jovovich) who gets sucked into a desert world filled with some ridiculous creatures. From crazy chase scenes to spine-tingling beasts, the trailer never loses momentum for a second, and Jovovich’s character manages to keep up with all the insanity in sublime style. But everything seems a bit lost and how ya going toward the end of the trailer if we’re being honest, as our heroes seem to run out of hope, but in an awesome turn of events and bit of casting, Tony Jaa, parkour and martial arts OG turns up to help the team out, so no doubt we’ll be getting some kick ass action sequences from him in the new flick.

Monster Hunter is set to release in theatres on December 30. Check the full trailer below.
