Netflix just dropped the first trailer for its upcoming animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and it definitely puts a new spin on a classic. The eight-episode series focuses on six teens trapped on the other side of Isla Nublar during the events of the original Jurassic World film, except, the story is told through the delightful lens of animation.
The trailer sees a heartwarming and beautiful beginning as the kids of the show are filled with awe and wonder as they traverse the island, however, their fascination soon turns to terror as the dinosaurs are unleashed across the island, with each kid having to realise that “their very survival rests on the shoulders of themselves and their fellow campers” as according to an official synopsis. The trailer also sees the recreation of several iconic shots from the original films, so you know it’s gonna stay true to the spirit of the series.
All eight episodes of the first season will drop on September 18. Check the trailer below.
