Taking road rage to a whole new level…

Have you ever had a fit of road rage? Whether it be getting honking at the person in front of you going 40km below the speed limit, or swearing at the person who won’t let you merge into a lane? Pretty much everyone has, and at most you’d expect a dirty look back or the occasional middle finger. But you’d never expect someone to make it their mission to absolutely destroy you, which Russell Crowe decides to do in Unhinged.

Crowe plays a guy having a “hard time lately” when a young mother (Caren Pistorius) makes a monumental mistake, by honking at him in traffic, leading to him making her day as awful as possible.

As a result, he goes absolutely ballistic on her and everyone she loves, decimating everything and everyone in his path. It’s quite terrifying, and Crowe brings the exact right amount of menace necessary for a role like this.

The film is set to be released on July 1 in select U.S. theatres, that is if U.S. theatres are allowed to open by then. Regardless, based on the way Australia is going with easing restrictions, it’s safe to say we should expect Unhinged to hit our shores around the same time, if not sooner.
