Channeling some very Keanu Reeves voice-overs the highly-anticipated “Point Break” reboot trailer has just dropped, set to hit cinemas on Christmas Day this year. Like the 1991 original, the movie follows undercover FBI agent Johnny Utah and Bodhi, fearless leader of a criminal gang of extreme sport athletes that use their skills to commit crimes… to do more sports. Featuring big-wave surfing, wing suit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.
The new “Point Break” stars Édgar Ramírez (Zero Dark Thirty) as Bodhi and Luke Bracey (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as Johnny Utah, along with Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer and Delroy Lindon. In his typical sad-boy way, Keanu Reeves, who originally played Utah alongside Patrick Swayze’s Bodhi, has revealed he’s looking forward to the remake, saying the original “meant so much to me; and now I just love to surf.” Watch the trailer below.
