HBO has shared a new teaser for The Idol, an upcoming drama series created by The Weeknd and starring Lily-Rose Depp. Conceived by the musician alongside Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, the six-episode show is set within Hollywood’s music industry, and follows the complex relationship between “the leader of a modern-day cult” and an “up-and-coming pop idol,” the series’ synopsis reads.
The new trailer expands on last month’s teaser with a swathe of fresh faces, with fellow musicians Troye Sivan and Moses Sumney joining the ensemble cast alongside Depp and The Weeknd. Elsewhere, the series will star Schitt’s Creek’s Dan Levy and The Simpsons’ Hank Azaria, among many others.

An official release date for The Idol has yet to be announced, but the trailer — which premiered at The Weeknd’s Las Vegas concert over the weekend — promises that the show is “coming soon.” In the meantime, HBO fans can catch binge House of The Dragon, the prequel to its flagship series Game of Thrones.
