The latest trailer sees Don’t Look Up further draw parallels to Earth’s current situation.
With Australia having embarrassed ourselves at the Glasgow Climate Summit, via our coal-compromised liar/leader just over the past fortnight, it’s impossible to watch the latest trailer for Adam McKay’s forthcoming disaster film, Don’t Look Up and not see the point it’s trying to make. In both real life and the movie, science is telling us we need to act to prevent the downfall of the human race, while our politicians ignore them.
Here, we see pleas from Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Dr. Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) falls on deaf ears as a comet hurtles towards Earth. We also get a look at some of the stacked supporting cast which includes Meryl Streep, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, and Scott Mescudi.
