The artist and skater continues to shake things up.

After picking up a paintbrush in his 20s after being introduced to some artists on a skate trip, Southern Californian artist BB Bastidas never looked back. With his connections to the skate world and gritty but bold style, it seemed only natural that his work would eventually find its way onto decks around the world, and you can now find it on more boards than you can throw a trick at. That’s on top of a bunch of global exhibitions, including a stop Down Under back in 2011.

Now, he marks another mammoth career milestone: teaming up with streetwear lords Brixton for a collection that embodies his bright-but-tormented approach. Sprawled over Brixton tees, fleece, headwear, and more, the collection features a totem that BB dug up from the archives. “There’s a recurring symbol, the bohemian eye, which is something I did seven or eight years ago, and that really had an impact on me and what I did in my career. So, it was important for me to reuse that in this line,” he says.
