Giving it back to the people…

Reaching deep within the history of art for a range that’ll inspire you into the future, Converse are paying tribute to Keith Haring with their latest drop, coming through with a new array of Converse kicks and apparel.

Based on the Haring ethos of ‘Breaking Barriers,’ Converse are seeking to capture the creativity, grit, and optimism of the past, all in hope of pushing design into the future, and who better to model a campaign of such intentions on than arthouse legend Keith Haring?

A cornerstone of linework and drawing, the Pennsylvania-born artist’s mantra that creativity could change the world is one that Converse embeds deeply throughout the new drop. Taking classic pieces like the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star and Pro Leather as well as the Run Star Hike, Converse are bringing together old and new for a celebration of art and innovation; all the while paying homage to the Haring pieces that sit upon the vacant billboards of the New York subway to this day.

It’s a pretty inspiring move and will no doubt help young creatives reconnect with Haring and his works, and will no doubt help continue to inspire new artworks from the youth of today; starting with the option to allow Converse lovers to customise their own kicks with Converse By You.

The Converse X Keith Haring range is available today at 10am (AEST) online at converse.com.au and in-store. Be sure to get on them quick. For now, check out the Haring-inspired range below.
