Do we call this AC/DC X DC?

You definitely weren’t old enough to feel the impact of AC/DC’s breakthrough 1979 album Highway To Hell or post-Bon Scott followup, 1980’s Back In Black, but let us tell you, the two albums changed rock and roll history forever. Collectively selling over 50 million copies, they pushed four fellas from Sydney to the forefront of the global music landscape, inspired an entire generation of shredders, and made wearing schoolboy clothes cool (kinda) again.

Now, to celebrate these two groundbreaking albums, iconic skate brand DC Shoes have just launched a limited edition collab with the band that sees the unmistakable AC/DC logo and images find their way onto DC kicks and apparel. Whether you’re a slide wearer or wanting to rep Accadacca while you’re skating, the range has something for everyone and sums up the zero-fucks attitude that both the band and brand share.

We’re not the only ones frothing on it either. Sunny Coast punks The Chats have taken to the collection like fish to water. Check out their video below for new tune ‘AC/DC CD’ below where they take on some of AC/DC’s classic clips in their DC gear and (of course) give us a delicious serving of high-intensity pub rock.

“When I was 10 years old my dad took me to the Sanity in Logan and I purchased my first CD with my own money, which was Back in Black by AC/DC,” says The Chats frontman Eamon Sandwith. “I was utterly blown away at how hard this band could rock, and I played it in the car every day to and from primary school. I still fucken love Acca Dacca so I wrote this song as a tribute to one of the world’s rocking-est bands.”
